Are you interested in volunteering on the night of our upcoming fundraising event in aid of Battersea Crime Prevention Panel and joining the after dinner party?

The Battersea Ball is an annual event attracting over a thousand, mainly local, people every year and is our main fundraising event for the Charity.  Every penny raised on the night goes straight back into our local Battersea and Balham community via grass route local projects as well as our local Police and youth groups. The main beneficiary is the Battersea Summer Scheme, our annual flagship project. The Battersea Summer Scheme provides community-focussed, exciting and educational summer activities which include Sports coaching and events for young people in disadvantaged areas of Battersea and Balham.

Why do we need help?

During the evening we need extra pairs of hands to help. We have a variety of different fundraising activities throughout the evening: a Live Auction; the Power Pledge which gives guests the chance to win £500 on the night; and our much loved Magic Tree where every envelope wins a prize from a bottle of wine, a gift, a wonderful voucher for dinner, a spa day out and much, much more.

We are looking for 30 volunteers to help us on the night to ensure the Ball is the best it has ever been and we raise lots of money for a great cause! Typically we’ll need our volunteers to be available and onsite in Evolution London, Battersea Park from 5pm through to 10.30pm. The event is Black Tie so we ask that our volunteers follow this dress code. Crew refreshments will be provided on the night and you’ll be invited to stay on and enjoy the rest of the evening…. the dance floor is open to 1am!

If you are over 18 and interested in helping out, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact [email protected] with your name and contact details and we will be in touch.

If you would like to find out more about the ball or bring a party and attend yourself do visit the website www.batterseaball.org.uk and to find out more about ourselves and our project please visit www.batterseacrimeprevention.org.uk and www.batterseasummerscheme.org.uk. We hope you’ll be interested in volunteering with us before the holiday season gets into full swing.
